Can physiotherapy help relieve headaches? PDF Print E-mail

Headaches, also known as "cephalgia," affect about 10% of the population.

There are many types of headaches, the most widely known being migraine, tension, cluster and cervicogenic headaches. They can be caused by a number of factors including cervical trauma, poor posture or repetitive neck movements. Your physiotherapist can help you determine the cause of your headaches and treat them with various methods such as electrotherapy and manipulative therapy, as well as exercise and postural hygiene programs.
